Q. What are Airnet's POP3 & SMTP settings?

Q. What is the difference between an email mailbox and an email address?
Think of an email mailbox like an ordinary mailbox. It's a central address where email gets delivered.
Airnet mailboxes are always ____ @airnet.net.nz addresses - so each one must have a unique name. (This is not the same as an Airnet email address).
A Mailbox can have as many email addresses or aliases as required.
For instance, many people use different email address / alias on a domain name like info@mydomain.co.nz or tom@mydomain.co.nz and it is delivered to the same location.
Q. Does Airnet filter spam on my emails?
Airnet offers an excellent spam filtering service that you can control simply by accessing your Airnet webmail account (http://webmail.airnet.net.nz) from any Internet connection.
The filter is very easy to use. The three options you can choose from are as follows:
1. Deliver identified spam but mark it [POSSIBLE SPAM] or;
2. Remove identified spam to a quarantine folder, where mail is deleted after 30 days or;
3. Apply no filtering - all mail is delivered to your inbox including spam.
Q. Why has a legitimate email been marked as [POSSIBLE SPAM]?
Airnet's email filters scan every email that comes through their email systems. Genuine spam is taken out automatically and remaining emails are filtered and graded on various characteristics that are common in spam emails. The email is then given a weighted value. If it reaches a certain value the email it will be marked [POSSIBLE SPAM]. In most cases it is a genuine email but is marked for precautionary purposes.
