Q. Can Airnet register .nz names for me?

Yes, Airnet is a registered .nz domain name Registrar and offers this service to our broadband and voice customers. Airnet can also transfer a .nz domain name from another registrar on your behalf.

Q. How do I know if a domain name is available?

Simply call us and we will register a domain name on your behalf. 

Use a "whois" website to search the availability on the domain name you require or simply ask one of our staff to see what domain names are available for registration.

 Q. How long can I register a domain name for?  

Airnet allows you to register and renew your domain names month by month. As a complete service, we provide domain hosting as part of monthly domain registration for $9.95 per month.

Q. The Whois search states that the domain name I am seeking is available but is pending release - what does this mean?

It means that if a registered .nz domain name has not been renewed it goes into a 90 day holding period where the registrant can re-register the domain name. If not renewed in this time, the domain name then becomes available for anyone to register.  

Q.  What can I do with a domain name now that it is registered?

You can either ‘park it’ (do nothing) or use it for a website. Our inclusive monthly registration + hosting fee provides you with the ability to receive emails on this domain name. 

We also offer Website hosting services should you want to have a website for your business hosted with Airnet.

Yes, we can also host non .nz domain names.

How do I check my Website Statistics?

Login to MY AIRNET and click HOSTING from the navigation bar. Select Websites from the side bar and then click the relating link for your domain.
